Occasionally the message 'waiting for cache.' is seen prior to a freeze-up. But CHKDSK always completes the repairs, and the computer functions normally for awhile. Sometimes it does a CHKDSK on restart, and the indexes for taskmgr.exe and wmplayer.exe are always involved, along with other files sometimes.
